Meet Our Director

Dr. Vejayan Sinnasamy is the esteemed Director of Sai Setia Kasih Nursing Home.

 

With a distinguished career spanning 37 years in the Ministry of Health of Malaysia, Dr. Vejayan began as a Time Scale Medical Assistant and ascended to the position of Senior Principal Assistant Medical Officer before retiring in 2017 from Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh. Throughout his tenure, he pursued further studies, including a Post Basic course in Psychiatry Nursing, a Post Basic Course in Counseling, a Diploma in Counseling Psychology  and Psychology degree (Hon) from UKMUniversiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and a Master’s in Counseling from Open University Malaysia. His commitment to humanitarian work was recognized with an Honorary Doctorate from Global Peace University, Delaware, USA.

 

Dr. Vejayan has dedicated himself to serving the community as the Director of Sai Setia Kasih Nursing Home, offering care for individuals suffering from psychological illness (mental health) and senior citizens.

 

His involvement in various NGOs is a testament to his passion for community welfare. Dr. Vejayan serves as a Council member for the Malaysian Association for Prevention of Tuberculosis Malaysia, State Secretary General for the Perak Branch of the Malaysian Association for Prevention of Tuberculosis Malaysia, and as a Committee Member for the Diabetic Association Malaysia (Perak). He is also a Registered Licensed Counselor with the Board of Counselor Malaysia, a Panel Counselor for the Bar Council Malaysia and Talian Kasih for JKM, and operates the Life Rhythm Counseling Centre, specializing in mental health practices. Furthermore, he holds the distinction of being the Past President of the Rotary Club of Kinta.
